The Downsides of Being a Pot Head

The Effects of Smoking Weed

Hey Dudes and Dudettes today were going to be talking about the effects of smoking weed.  I mean c’mon who hasn’t gotten stoned before? We’re not pinning the temperate stoner to the cross, but we’re going to take a look at some of the downsides of being a stoner.

Some of the effects of smoking weed can vary, but in many cases there are some common ones that always occur. I mean who doesn’t like to walk around with blood shot eyes, a hunger for everything in the store and the motivational exploits of never moving off the couch.

What can be accomplished during the effects of smoking weed?

Bright Futures of Palm Beach decided to follow around a stoner for a week and see the upsides and downsides of being a Pot Head. We’re going to take a look into the life of “Mark The Dude” and learn more about the downsides and unmanageability of the stoner lifestyle.

At first we go to marks apartment and knock on the door and after signing for consent we’re invited into his home. Mark seems to be a very well-mannered man and very cordial so far as we can tell. As we walk in the house you see the kitchen on the left with some dishes in the sink and post-it notes on the fridge; a lot of post it notes. As we move into the living room it’s a bit musky and has the faint aroma of dank marijuana. The coffee table has all types of empty chip bags like Lays Potato Chips, Cheese-its, Cheetos and many more. We asked, “Why don’t you throw these away?” He replied, “I just ate all of these  right before you came in.”

I could tell this was going to be interesting to follow Mark around for the week. We were allowed to follow him in work as well.

Day 1 of our experiment “The Effects of Smoking Weed”

After the initial day of meeting Mark and staying the night in his home, Mark has a schedule that would rival most juggelo’s. At exactly 11:00 PM the doorbell rang and we were greeted by Savannah. Savanna is Marks longtime girlfriend who was just stopping over for a nightcap and a couple Bong Hits. Our team asked Savannah what she liked about smoking weed and she replied, “I only smoke once a day, Typically after I get Mark sitting on his couch with his unmanageable life because he is a marijuana addict we talk about the effects of smoking weed and the downsides of being a pot head stoneroff of work”.  After our conversation Savannah and Mark went into the room for what sounded like a ZOO had been let loose in the room.

At 2:00 AM Savanna left and at 2:30 Kristal greeted us at the door. Kristal doesn’t even smoke weed and says she doesn’t smoke Marijuana because he doesn’t like the effects of smoking weed. Kristal had just gotten off of work from a local bar called, ”Emo’s”. If there was one thing we could tell at this point Mark was a busy guy. Kristal left at 4:00 AM when Mark had to be up for work at the local coffee shop by 10:00 AM.

Mark was late for work by 20 minutes and hadn’t even showered or did his hair. We asked Mark if this is his typical routine and he replied, “This is the light side of my typical routine”. That night Mark was at it again with 3 other woman stopping over and bed time around 4:00 AM.

The Effects of Smoking Weed Day 3 – 6 of the rest of the week.

potehead sitting on the couch enjoying the effects of smoking weed in between bong hits they try to move but cantThroughout the week we could definitely tell there were quite a few side effects of smoking weed. The un-manageability factor hit an all-time “high” as the week went on. The house started getting messier and Mark was setting Lure Modules for his Pokemon Go Game.  The Chaos that ensued throughout the week would rival that of a teenager. I have never seen a more intimidating schedule with such a lack of sleep and absolutely nothing being accomplished. We decided to wrap up our social experiment a day early due to the cameraman needing to attend to family matters.

Our Summary of “The Effects of Smoking Weed” The Downsides of being a Pot Head

Firstly, after following Mark around that week, we could tell Mark had issues with substance abuse and Marijuana addiction. Marks house became extremely messy as the week went on. He was disheveled and late going to work at least 4 out of 5 days. Most days Mark would wake up and not even shower. His room was a rancid mess, he never slept and he could barely pay his rent.

We were delighted at the fact he was willing to seek treatment for his marijuana addiction. Bright Futures of Palm Beach is after all a substance abuse treatment center.  Mark has since gotten out of rehab for marijuana and we visited his house. His house is clean, he gets up for work on time and he found a solid relationship with Kristal who turned out to be sober for 3 years.

  1. Nice try at a subtle advertisement for your center to uneducated parents of experimenting kids, but those old stereotypes are just that – – antiquated and out of date. So many people consume cannabis these days and you wouldn’t know it. Because they live active and fruitful lives. Then there are the medical users, like myself, who have found a reason to live thanks to cannabis. And of course you still have the slacker type who, if cannabis were nonexistent, would find another excuse to be just as lazy.
For a “treatment center” you seem to be promoting a lot of false information and perpetuating the old “blame the weed” mentality rather than helping people find the root causes for their attraction and dependence on any particular substance.
    This was garbage.

  2. I smoke pot weed for quite a while like overdose and now I am feeling that my life is ruined simply because of this .so in what capacity would I be able to revive my life.

  3. It takes the base of 3-5 strong days for the lion’s share of your body to detox, then it is around 2 weeks of a mental fight with your own particular head…. the vast majority return following 6 months regardless of the possibility that the fifth month seemed like medications had never been a piece of your life. Moving out of certain companion circles and erasing all dealer contacts helps at a cost of feeling somewhat segregated. The primary concern is take each day by itself and don’t subject yourself to even a solitary toke.

  4. This is doltish, if each individual is rationally extraordinary then it enjoys distinctive causes to reprieve that people identity and viewpoint is normally the cause. That is the reason individuals can smoke pot their entire life and not go insane, there is nothing amiss with pot except for there is clearly a major issue with the insane individual

  5. Phenomenal article about adjust, lovely expressions of truth. To the ears of somebody who expected to listen, and the brain of somebody who needed to know. Much obliged to you.
